We're always looking for stylish pieces at purse-friendly prices, and chic lighting brand Lights & Lamps does this so well. So we were excited to see that it's running a big summer sale right now, with discounts up to 70 per cent.

L&L's trend-driven yet refined style sensibilities make its pieces workable for a range of aesthetics, with a look that feels far more premium than the price tags would suggest. There are floor, ceiling and table lamps on sale, some with discounts of more than £100, so if you've been looking for that new centrepiece for your dining room or hallway, now's the time to buy.

Our top picks? Well, there are two items – a floor lamp and a ceiling pendant – from the brand's fun Chubes range (which is on sale with discounts of 60 to 70 per cent). Available in both soft white and sophisticated brass, the chunky frame and soft focus frosted globe bulbs perfectly balance playfulness and elegance. With the reduction, the floor lamp is down to just £65 from £199, and the ceiling light is now just £29!
